Trump's New Commerce Secretary Focused On One Aspect of Climate Change. Of Course.

America's newly minted commerce secretary, shady billionaire Wilbur Ross, doesn't entirely share Trump's view that climate change is a hoax. No, to Wilbur, sea level rise is real. For the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that's a good thing given that it comes under the Commerce Department.

So, why is secretary Wilbur, a.k.a. the "King of Bankruptcy," so focused on sea level rise? It might have something to do with his $23 million waterfront home in Palm Beach. The house is just over 4 feet above sea level.

Nice shack, Wilbur.

Wilbur made a good chunk of cash as vice chairman of the shady Bank of Cyprus, reputed to have been the laundromat for Russian oligarchs looking to move mountains of rubles out of Russia. The White House has been blocking Democrats' efforts to uncover whether any of those laundered rubles/dollars made their way to Trump or his associates.

Emergency "rethinking"
...but only out of personal necessity.

Yes, I read that the White House is refusing to release Wilbur's written responses about his ties to Russia. Despite that, he was readily confirmed. Guess it must be nice to have such a stand-up guy you can trust.

I watched this bit with Maddow last night. It looks like Wilbur helped Trump to $60M for some property in Florida.
