Zevon, nearing the end, takes his leave on Letterman. What a bittersweet memory. Like many Zevon followers, we knew the guy had terminal lung cancer. That made Letterman's tribute show powerfully significant to his fans. Who but a real friend like Letterman could handle this? My Ride's Here:
