Republicans are promising to block an Obama appointment (which is in their power). Which means that a main topic of the coming campaign will be what candidate Americans wish to have the power of appointing the next Judge.
This might increase turnout (which usually helps the D candidate).
If the R were smart, they would let Obama have his appointment with just a play fight, so removing this as a major campaign issue, because the next President is likely going to have more than a few slots to fill.

Are you thinking of Donald Trump as a judge?

To borrow from Macbeth, Mound, "Nothing became him in life like the leaving [of] it."
I read the news and was happy. Even happier after I 'got permission' for my feelings.

Happy Valentines!!
Bette Davis gave us the best one: "You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Joan Crawford is dead. Good."
that certainly jollied me up when I awoke to that news.
