The National Post, the paper so rightwing that Lawrence Martin once said it ought to be delivered in its own holster, has presented what ought to be an embarrassing performance by Stephen Harper in today's Question Period.
Harper has turned into a thoroughly broken record. No matter what questions were thrown at him, his only response was to point to the Bloc Quebecois and shreek something about deal with the devil.
No talk about making minority government work, no hint of remorse and repentence, just repetitive blather about the other guys doing what he tried himself - a coalition involving the Bloc Quebecois. This is a guy out of ideas, out of steam, a loose cannon that's finally arrived at the gunwale.
Bye Steve, you won't be missed. Even a lot of moderate Conservatives will be relieved to see you go. You see, Steve, no one likes a schoolyard bully.

The question isn't why does any one support the coalition. The question is why doesn't everyone?
Let's get something straight....the person who did the most shreeking was Dion. Can you imagine what is going to happen between Dion and the NDP....top notch shreeking....and I am not a Conservative so don't try to make me into one due to my comments. Cap fit, cap wear. A. Morris
A.M., sorry but you're out to lunch on that which I assume is because you're out of the country. Besides, Dion made it plain in his response that he's only going to be leader for four more months.
Harper's downfall is entirely his own doing. It wasn't pre-ordained. From his minority perch he launched an offensive on the opposition having just assured Canadians he would cooperate and work with all parties in parliament. He promised cooperation and consensus but he didn't even pretend to mean it.
The man's a tyrant.
I didn't say he wasn't a tyrant. What I am concerned about is the fact that a Coalition is going to make matters worse. Why? Due to the fact, there are people there who want their way and only theirs. Coalitions are supposed to work well and have in the past but this time we have Provincal Representation who don't give a darn about the rest of the Country....the Bloc Quebecois A. Morris
