Ghomwshi was found not guilty, and the truth is most of the charges were pathetic in the first place.
As an example during what the accusers freely admits was a consensual make out session Ghomeshi pulled her hair. That it. There are people who are still convinced that Ghomeshi was accused of rape, but the truth is even his accusers admit he never even had sex with them, it was minor rough kinky stuff, and not alot of it and none of it after they said no, which none said in fact they pressure him.
In a more rational time period the cops would have dismissed this cases as a waste of time, which they were, but thanks to political hysteria we got the first class circus treatment instead.

I defended Ghomeshi's acquittal but I still think he's a creep. The way he treated female CBC staff and the way his immediate superiors covered for him were enough for me.
He wasn't proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and so he was acquitted. That's OK, I think lots more trials, like for unimportant people and for crimes other than sexual assault, should be held to that standard.
But that doesn't mean the bastard isn't guilty. If it was balance of probabilities he'd've gone down. I don't know if they still do, but the Scots used to have the option of a verdict of "Not Proven"; I think that would have been a better verdict for Ghomeshi.
Frankly, I thought he was a boring, self-absorbed scuzzbucket before any of the allegations surfaced anyway. George Stroumboulopoulos could out-interview him with one vocal cord tied behind his back.

Allegedly.
