Have We Finally Had It with Harper?

A Nanos poll suggests Canadians may finally have had it with the automaton of Sussex Drive.

Canadians' unhappiness with the federal government grew dramatically in 2013, judging by the results of a yearly poll released by Nanos Research and the Institute for Research on Public Policy.

When it comes to the performance of Stephen Harper's Conservatives, 56 per cent of those polled said they did a poor job in 2013. That compares to 33 per cent last year and 25 per cent in 2011.

Great, now maybe the Opposition can maintain this momentum.  Maybe.

I had it with Harper when he was sitting on Uncle Preston's knee wearing short pants and plotting with Tommy (ManBoyLove)the Chicken Hawk Flanagan how to turn Canada into a war-mongering petro-sheikdom!

Once your government starts looking bad, everything you do that would have been shrugged off before starts sticking to you. Once the teflon coating wears off, it's generally gone.
The only thing is, don't assume that will let you coast to victory without doing anything. Keep holding them to the fire, keep putting the boots in, don't let their ill deeds be forgotten. I speak from bitter experience in BC, where Adrian Dix gave away the election by refusing to go negative, instead running a positive campaign with no real positive content. Only a campaign about nothing, leaving a vacuum for the Liberals to fill, could have let the discredited bastards pull out a win.

This must not be allowed to happen federally.

As a western Canadian living in Quebec I railed and ranted against the Deform Party, Manning and Flanagan's evil spawn, Harper. When that sack of shit, Peter Mackay, lied to the Canadian public about not intending to merge the Alliance and the PCs, I told friends he was lying and they looked at me like I was insane.

When the merger happened they seemed to have forgotten that Mackay lied about it. When Harper was elected and I told my Conservative friends, the few that I have, that they'd made a serious error in judgement, I was criticized for being a biased, bleeding-heart Liberal. I even swore that I would vote Pequiste in the next provincial election if Harper was ever elected PM. I did not vote for Empress Marois and would never vote for those fascists, I was simply trying to let people know how much I mistrusted Harper.

Harper and his cabal are self-serving scum and always have been. Their raison d'ĂȘtre is based on Western Canadian revenge on Pierre Trudeau and the Liberal east for having control of the country for so long. I know this from transcribing the raw footage of an interview with Flanagan and other Albertan "reformers" for a TV program that had the working title "Canada." I'm sure much of Flanagan's interview never made it to air because it was too frightening for public consumption.

When Flanagan was caught with his pants down, so to speak, I was relieved that he would no longer be on the CBC news "power panel" any more because it used to infuriate me that this Ex-Pat American Neo Con was allowed to discuss Canadian politics on an institution he wanted to dismantle.

Sick of Harper, indeed. It's about time the zombies who voted for him woke up. All we need is someone worth voting for instead of him and that doesn't look likely given who the other two party leaders are and how people feel about them.

I predict another minority for the robot and his robot army.
