As someone that walks 5 kms daily in the bush and hikes often from Quadra island to Strathcona park by mount Washington I have a stake in the destruction of Canada's wild areas. Habitat destruction has been rampant for many years. There have always been economy driven reasons to dig up and export the human uninhabited regions of this wonderful country and for me BC. We , in BC, have been given to believe that the export of our resources is a heaven sent gift to prosperity! If it grows swims, crawls or walks it's fair 'game for exploitation.
