John McCain has pulled alongside Barack Obama thanks to the support of the slave states, quelle surprise, but with Obama having taken Pennsylvania and leading in both Ohio and Florida, McCain could be finished before the polls are settled in middle America.
Given the turnout in the east, I don't think McCain stands much chance on the Left Coast but, oddly enough, that might not matter this year. Damn, my friends in Washington were so hoping for their chance to fling this thing into Obama's lap.
McCain is, however, still expected to dominate if not sweep the essentially empty and Electoral College vote-deprived mid-West.
