David Frum and Disaster Environmentalism

Spurned by the droolers who make up the base of the Repugnican Party, Frump takes a swipe at environmentalism in today's National Toast:

If conservatives can learn to live with a tax on coal, then environmentalists can learn to live with nuclear power.
Brilliant Davy boy, brilliant. Now run along to the American Enterprise Institute. Donuts and pop for everyone in the boardroom!

Still I have to say, that given the alternatives I say nuclear is worth a look.

Of course having said that there are a number of reasons why nuclear power wont be the silver bullet many are claiming.

I'm sure you're aware Dan that Lovelock believes nuclear is the bridge fuel until more effective means of renewables are developed. We need something. Oh yeah, geothermal.
