Well, well, our cousins down under have succeeded where Steve Harper utterly failed. Australia has been given a seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Not that it matters to the Harper regime. They've been dissing the U.N. ever since they got tossed. Sour grapes but, to you Aussies, "Good on ya."

Aussies not off the hook! They plan to mine massive amounts of coal to be sold to China and other
SE Asian economies. Once burned, that coal will dramatically escalate atmospheric global warming
CO2, but also acidify the oceans, which will kill off their global heritage, bio-diverse coral
reefs.
