Only 44? That was my first reaction to the announcement that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe had agreed to send 44 observers from its human rights office to monitor America's elections this year.
The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the NAACP and the
ACLU, among other groups, warned this month in a letter to Daan Everts, a
senior official with OSCE, of “a coordinated political effort to
disenfranchise millions of Americans — particularly traditionally
disenfranchised groups like minorities.”
“They [will] observe the overall election process, not just the ballot
casting,” said Giovanna Maiola, spokeswoman for OSCE. “They are focusing
on a number of areas on the state level, including the legal system,
election administration, the campaign, the campaign financing [and] new
voting technologies used in the different states.”

Absolutely nothing stops corruption. Lies, deceit, dirty tactics, greed, dirty politics and cheating to win, always trumps honesty, democracy and fairness every time.
There are very few politicians in Canada, worth the powder to blow them to hell. Very few in the U.S. either. I doubt, there are very many honest politicians, in this entire world.
The human race is, the most terrible, foul and destructive species on this planet. You don't see wildlife, dirtying and fouling their living space, do we? They have much more sense than humans.
