Even Republicans Get It - Sarah Palin Is Qualified to Be - a Soccer Mom!

It's hard to imagine how low you have to set the bar to make Sarah Palin seem qualified to be heir apparent to a cancer-riddled old geezer in the Oval Office. Unfortunately, McSame hasn't been able to keep Palin from bleeding out through her ears before the vice-presidential debate tomorrow night.

Everybody, even Republicans, are on to her. We all know she's breezed through previous debates with homespun homilies. We're ready for that. It won't work again, save for some old grannies and Republican party extremists. Where Obama looks increasingly likely to turn this election into a sweep, with the independents and undecideds, her fortunes have already narrowed - massively.

A Pew Research Poll found 63 per cent said Biden was qualified to serve as president if necessary, while 37 per cent said the same of Palin. That's not two-to one Biden, just very, very close.

Never in the history of American electoral politics has a senior candidate screwed up so badly, so repeatedly, in such a short span of time. People who compared her to Dan Quayle are now apologizing - out of fairness - to Dan Quayle.

The very idea of some disease such as cancer or other mishap placing a person this unaware, indifferent and incompetent at the helm of the world's most lethal nuclear power - someone who believes she'll meet God in her lifetime (rapture talk) - isn't just scary, it's insane. I know we got sort of accustomed to Dick Cheney but - people - this one is the much greater threat!

Buy Bristol a bassinet and a stroller and line Todd up with a muscle-snowmobile and tell Sarah Alaska still needs her and let's wrap up this manipulative miscue.

I still can't figure out why Canadians give a shit about Sarah Palin. Maybe you can tell me why it seems that almost 50% of liblogs.ca posts are aboput the USA.

Try to find me one American blog that talks about the Canadian debate last night.

Bet you can't find even one.

Well, Anon, there are several reasons for this. We're paying a gruesome price in Afghanistan for the stupidity of the current US executive. Our export trade is locked to their economy. On issues ranging from global security to global warming, the White House often plays the lynch pin.

In case you haven't noticed, Anon, we don't tend to impact their nation or their society in any way resembling the degree to which their leadership impacts ours.

There, I hope you now understand.

When an idiot gets in the White House we all pay for it.

"We're paying a gruesome price in Afghanistan for the stupidity of the current US executive."

Canada has only lost about 90 soldiers. Big f-in deal. Every single soldier believes in the mission and that's all that matters.

Unless your a hyper partisan liberal in Canada who as I remember had f-all to say about Af-Stan until Harper won.

Show me some of your posts where you criticized the Chretien or Martin regime.

And just because YOU rely on the USA for YOUR quality of life doesn't give you any right to bash the USA on a daily basis.

Well, Anon, I'll write what I choose to write about matters and things of interest to me and, if you don't like that, why shove off.
Unfortunately this blog wasn't around during the Chretien or Martin days so you won't find many criticisms of them here. That's not to say I wasn't somewhat critical of both of them in their turn. Again chum, shove off.
I have every right to comment on anything I choose to comment even on a daily basis. So, shove off.

Shove off instead of f-off?

See, the main question Liberals never think of when they bash someone or something is "what happens next"?

So , I'll ask you the same thing.

If the USA and the rest of the world pulls out of Afghanistan, "what happens next".

Let me know please.
