It's Fatso's Fault

The History Channel, that is to say the U.S. version, will be airing a documentary on Sunday that purports to reveal what really happened to Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan.

Okay, here's the deal. Earhart and Noonan survived a crash landing in the then Japanese-held Marshall Islands. The Japanese assumed Earhart was a spy and the pair were taken prisoner. Here's the best part. The American government knew all about it and simply covered it up.

Here's the photo. Earhart is supposedly the woman with her back to the camera. The documentary producers contend that facial recognition software confirms the face that no one can see much less recognize is definitely the missing aviatrix.

Me, I'm thinking this shifty guy in the foreground is the culprit.

Are you suggesting a possible "recreating of history"?
