Blame Trump, Really?
A poll finds that more than half of South Koreans think their country should have its own nuclear arsenal.
North Korea's recent launch of a long-range ballistic missile seems to have rattled South Koreans and their government.
An aide to the south's president, Moon Jae-in, blames the shift in public opinion on Trump's "America First" policy. The president now wants an increase in the south's missile arsenal but has stopped short of calling for nuclear warheads.
The launch has also rattled Japanese, some of whom witnessed this from their rooftops.
Yeah, if I saw that from my backyard, I think that would piss me off.

Tensions escalated dramatically with George (Gomer) Bush's Axis of Evil speech. Since then North Koreans (those in power) have seen the US attack Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. They are keenly aware that the US does not attack any country that has nuclear weapons. Donald Trump is upping the rhetoric and making threats. To expect North Koreans to simply lie down like sheep is silly; won't happen.
I know people living close to where that video was shot. They are more worried about what Trump might do than about Kim. Trump has problems at home; is he going to do the usual American thing by starting another shooting war? If so, South Koreans, particularly those on the north side of Seoul, could be fried. They are not happy about that scenario.
Don't get me wrong. I understand that North Korea is pretty much a gulag with a nasty Stalinist government. Most of its citizens live a miserable life. However, that's a local problem and will not be solved by escalating tensions or war.
