Homeland Security is pre-staging a massive para-military force, a domestic army being assembled because the government fears the people.

Tea-baggers may do that. Also maybe Egypt situation is scaring government. First it was wiretapping and now this. Some democracy.

In my visitors' list I see Government of Canada. I don't know what to think of it.

Gee, L.D., I know what to think of the "Government of Canada." Wait until you get Lockheed, the CIA, and US Army and Navy intelligence stopping by once or twice a week.

Mound, it did worry me. But I am more worried now. I will look for CIA next time.

I knew a CSIS fellow. Very nice fellow and used give me tips how to secure my house etc. Maybe I will seek his help. :)

Yes, Anon, that Guardian article from June somehow failed to cause much of a stir here in Canada. That's curious because our own spy agency, CSIS, is now in the business of spying on Canadians that the government considers dissidents.

Harper has constituted a domestic spy agency comprising Edmonton and Calgary police, the RCMP and CSIS to identify and monitor potential opponents of the Northern Gateway pipeline project. There's no telling who else he has CSIS spying on either. That's Harper's way after all. He co-opts government departments and transforms them into his partisan political agencies. He and his Commissars in the PMO have been doing that since the start.
