It's here - anti-date rape drinkware. It is a line of straws and glasses that change colour or pattern in the presence of GHB, ketamine or Rhoypnal, common date rape drugs.
A company called DrinkSavvy is marketing a line of cups, glasses, straws and stirrers with the ability to detect date rape drugs.

Society must be pretty bad if women need that sort of aide to keep themselves safe.
A few years ago my partner was out with her girlfriends for a few drinks. She called me to say that she'd be home later than expected. When she went into the washroom she encountered a girl who had succumbed to a date rape drug. They first got the girl into a cab and took her to her home in the burbs. Then they called the police. The officers said it was more common than people realized but, especially in the bar scenario, it was often very difficult to identify the culprit.
Opps forgot to add my name to 11:01
