Trump preaches to the local audience and changes his policies to suite. No one knows what Trump really thinks or would do in office. It's difficult to predict what will happen with Trump as President. Joking about it will not help or make it easier to understand. It is quite likely that Trump will be the next USA President so let us discuss how to react to that!
How to react? What am I going to do? What are you going to do? About the same as our prime minister will do - nothing. Prime minister Slick doesn't have the sand to even stand up to the Tories on BDS. He'll do whatever Trump demands, whenever he tells Slick to jump.
We have had sufficient insight into our new prime minister to realize he doesn't connect with us in a leadership sense. He doesn't bring us to places where we need to be. He talks a good game, sometimes, but he acts without much regard to the popular will or the needs of the country.
Trump is a farce. He's irrelevant compared to the great looming crises of the day. If he gets far out of line I expect his own national security apparatus will deal with him. I think he'll have a target on his back from the day he strolls down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Please, don't be joyless. Humour is a wonderful elixir in this otherwise sad affair.
Faced with real facts Trump 'could' be a different person. FFS think of life with Cruz at the helm!
Trudeau on the other hand was a born to be wanker. Talk about establishment! Trump for all his obvious rotten faults is not establishment. Maybe, just maybe a one term Trump will break the rotten mould? Rid us of the Trudeau's, Bushes, Clintons and Camerons et al.
FWIW. Looks like Tony Blair may finally be charged with war crimes.
Trump is not establishment? He may be a rogue, offensive to the patrician element, but he was born into establishment. The son of a rich father, Trump began his career on gifted money. How did a fellow of his curious intellect get into the schools that he attended? How was he able to once brag that the only person who garnered more draft exemptions than he did during Vietnam was Dick Cheney? No, Trailblazer, Trump was farting through silk from infancy and has steered well clear of anything remotely plebian.
