What Kind Of a Monster Is This Guy?

Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie have now joined the ranks of actresses and starlets accusing Hollywood powerhouse producer, Harvey Weinstein, of sexual misconduct. It's the old story of the lumpy Hollywood movie magnate and the casting couch. Only this time it's different. There are too many women coming forward.

To make it worse for Weinstein, NBC News has an audio recording of Weinstein pressuring an Italian actress, Andrea Battilana Gutierrez, to accompany him to his room. Gutierrez, having already complained to police that Weinstein had groped her breast, was wearing a wire during their next encounter.

Well, Meryl Streep seemed surprised about Weinstein. In a way.

Jimmy Saville turned out to be a pedophile after four decades as a BBC TV host, DJ etc. 500 children. Might be worse than Weinstein because it's so stupefyingly evil. He managed to frighten the lot of them into keeping quiet until he died.

Jimmy Saville was an animal and his outrage is all the worse because of the complicity of BBC in looking the other way while he abused kids. However Saville escaped any reckoning. Weinstein won't be as lucky.

Thanks for the link, Jay. Sadly it's true.

Here's another monster, Cyrus Vance Jr:
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. tends to give rich and powerful people a break from prosecution — particularly if they or people close to them have donated to his election campaign.

That’s the takeaway from multiple press scoops in October, revealing that Vance turned down chances to prosecute Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein for sexual assault, and Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. for fraud and larceny. In each case, reports suggest Vance and his assistant district attorneys had compelling evidence, including a recording of Weinstein admitting to the assault in question.

Anyong...There are more of them around than you can shake a stick at...that includes right in small communities as well. The more women who come out of the wood work the better. However, after years of women keeping secrets as to what has happened to them, in 2017 they still are not believed especially by judgmental religious types.

Why did they remain silent for all these years?

A sad commentary on modern society.
