Climate Change 2.0

The denialist community is having a field day sowing doubt over global warming as it was once understood while ignoring that the narrative they cling to has been overtaken by major events.

Research showing a link between the frequency of El Nino - Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events and global warming is, essentially, a game changer.  So too is the loss of Arctic sea ice and the emergence of a powerful polar jet stream that is whipsawing the northern hemisphere with extreme weather events, bringing 96F temperatures to an Alaska village in mid-June after freezing the canals of Venice months earlier.   These two major phenomena and how they, in turn, will interact are transforming the global warming debate.

Climate change is no longer a theory of what could happen decades from now.   It is a modern day reality, here right now.   The World Meteorological Organization has chronicled the extreme weather events that hammered the planet during the first decade of this century and appear to be increasing in frequency and intensity.

The denialists will try their best to keep churning over the CO2 emissions/warming connection as a hoax but that doesn't matter any more.   This is Climate Change 2.0.

If it was science there would be proofs...not opinions.
