Under Fire - The Right to Bear Arms

The US Constitution's Second Amendment has been widely taken to guarantee almost total freedom of Americans to own guns. Now that's under attack.

The District of Columbia has brought a case claiming that the 2nd Amendment grants the constitutional right to bear arms only to a "well regulated militia" not individuals.

The 2nd Amendment states: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Another fluff issue to distract American voters from more important things like foreign policy and domestic economic policy.

Uh...What that hell does Switzerland have anything to do with these dynamics?

Switzerland requires many citizens to keep their military weapons at home, a quaint tradition from the past when they envisioned soldiers having to run out their front doors ready to repel an invader. The Swiss, however, keep their guns in the closet.
