Nobody's 'Sposed to Be Seeing That, 'Ceptin Your Man and Even Then Only With the Lights Out!

Canada's first female and legendary drive-by prime minister, Kim Campbell, has succumbed to a bout of loose-lipitis.

Her Kimship delivered herself of the opinion that it's just not right for female newscasters to wear sleeveless attire on screen.

I am struck by how many women on television news wear sleeveless dresses- often when sitting with suited men. I have always felt it was demeaning to the women and this suggests that I am right. Bare arms undermine credibility and gravitas! https://t.co/plBRrrtqKV

The controversy harkens back to a similar uproar over female attire on the now-defunct Sun News Network.

That flap erupted soon after the right-wing all-news network debuted in April 2011, with National Post columnist Tasha Kheiriddin deriding the network’s female journalists for dressing like cocktail hostesses in “low cut, sleeveless” attire.

At the time, Luiza Ch. Savage of Maclean’s magazine also called the all-news network “Skank TV” in a tweet that was eventually retracted.

I think its demeaning to the men who HAVE to wear suits, where women have far more freedom to choose either outfits.

How many of those men would like to wear a T-shirt and jeans?

I seem to remember a portrait Kim sat for that featured bare shoulders and judicial robes. It made me into the pervert I am today.

When I think of gravitas, Kim Campbell's name does not spring to mind.

I can't imagine why she popped off about this. A senior's moment, perhaps?
