I Wonder What He's Doing for Christmas

According to the Associated Press, Jeffrey K. Skilling is now a guest at the Greybar Hotel. The disgraced, former Enron CEO popped into the federal pen in Waseca, Minnesota today to begin paying down his 24-year sentence for fraud and other misdeeds associated with the collapse of Enron.

Co-accused and Enron founder Ken Lay got his sentence commuted to time served by, in essence, running out of time. Oh well.

It's been reported that Skilling is appealing all his convictions and that he may well succeed on certain of the fraud charges. The judge who ordered him to prison said that he might have a chance on some of them but his chances on plenty of others are highly doubtful.
