Want to See How Easy It Is for Russia (or Anyone) to Manipulate Ordinary People?
And Trump has denied this, denounced it as a "hoax," for so long that experts say it's already too late to take meaningful action to safeguard American democracy in this year's mid-term elections. No collusion, really?
Yes, it is dispiritingly familiar. Only those are the fossil fuelers challenging California and Washington state. Here that job is performed by Trudeau and Notley.
That Trump claims nothing except no collusion with Russia and has issued no directives to fortify his democracy against further tampering says all you need to know about him, Mound.
Only fools don't see what the Russians have done, Mound. Whether Trump collaborated with them is still an open question. But it'sclear that Mr. Putin must be laughing.
I found this video of a picture perfect little town in Heartland Idaho more than troubling. People attacking the newspaper editor for publishing the truth, sending death threats to his wife, threatening to sexually assault his children - it is revolting. Sinclair Lewis was right on the money.
The reason that television is filled with crappy ads is because they work. We humans have yet to come to terms with TV and its effects and here we are with the Internet and social media and most of us have not the slightest idea of how easy it is to manipulate us. Barnum was right, there's a fool born every minute.

If the USA wasn't highly disfunctional the machinations of outsiders would be irrelevant.
As long as they're/we're blaming the Russkies .......
America has a rich history of aiding opposition groups in other lands whether in skewing elections or other forms of regime change. Ukraine certainly comes to mind.

OT but it sure looks familiar. The carbon barons think noone else has any rights.
