Like he isn't already up to his alligators in strife, now George Bush is facing something of an insurgency at home.
The union representing 10,000 scientists at the US Environmental Protection Agency are staging an uprising over their president's policy - or lack of one - on global warming. The scientists are petitioning Congress to hold aggressive oversight hearings on their own agency's greenhouse gas emissions policies.
This week the US Supreme Court heard arguments in a case designed to force the administration to require the EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Deputy Solicitor General Gregory Garre contended that, even if the EPA had this authority, "now is not the time to exercise such authority, in light of the substantial scientific uncertainty surrounding global climate change and the ongoing studies to address those uncertainties."
Oh brother and you wonder why they're flat out of ideas on Iraq?

"Its plain nuts..." Thanks for the insight DIP. No, I didn't get the CVs for the EPA's 10,000 scientists but, let me guess here, they're probably employed to deal with environmental matters. As usual, your contributions are vapid.
