A couple of months ago there were predictions of a mild winter for central and eastern Canada. Update - that's off, not gonna happen.
If you live anywhere from eastern Saskatchewan to New Brunswick, it's going to be a cold winter and from southern Quebec to most of the Maritimes you'll be looking at above normal snow.
Me? Well out here in paradise we'll see above normal winter temperatures, below normal winter precipitation. And I was thinking about digging through the garden shed to get the snow shovel out, just in case. Silly me.

It is about time this kind of behavior was reported to police immediately instead of taking years to come to light. Go-Go needs to spend time behind bars and not be let off by paying a fine. Anyong in Mexico
This was suppose to be comment upon Ghomeshi´s Last stand. Not is. Computers in foreign countries have a different keyboard. Sorry. Anyong
I am sorry that your west coast equanimity was interrupted by the distasteful prospect of having to retrieve your snow implement, Mound. May more peaceful days be upon you.
Not so fast, Lorne. Another winter like the last couple and I may have trouble recognizing my "snow implement" should I ever again need it. It's not all milk and honey, you see.
Hi Anyong. I assume you're not endangering your health shoveling snow down south of the Rio Grande.
Experience shows there'll always be people like this character. Seems that it was his power and influence that kept his accusers mute for the past several years. It's that disparity in power that is regularly abused in sexual and other ways.
Go hug a tree Mos!
Don't eat any yellow snow, Willy :)
If we have 3 ft of snow, then what will you say?
Who are "we"? If you're referring to Eastern Canada I suppose I'd say 'brace yourself.' If you're referring to coastal British Columbia, I'd say 'great' because that would offer the prospect of the much needed mountain snowpack we need for life out here to get through the summer.
