The Paris Insurgency

Guerrilla war in the French capital? An ambush of police officers by a platoon-size force of masked gunmen sure sounds like just that.

The CBC reports that four police officers responded to a call about vandalism at a bakery in the suburb of Grigny, an immigrant enclave with a large Muslim population.

When they arrived they were met by a group of 30-people wearing hoods, some of them armed. They opened fire, hitting three of the officers in the face with buckshot and wounding the fourth in the legs with a combined blast of shotgun pellets and nails.

This isn't the first time Parisian police officers have been ambushed by armed gangs.

Funny to hear this from a liberal from a liberal blog, regardless my hats off to you for posting (you have courage). I say that because using the word "cbc" "vandalism" "muslim" and "immigrant" in the same sentance would make the toughest of left leaning usefull idiots cringe. Keep em coming.

My uncle lives in Sarcilles (another suburb of Paris) you wouldn't believe the hell he and his family go through, I thought I just entered a warzone that just had a cease fire when I was there to be honest. BTW. If you have a Rosary dangling in your car over there, theres a good chance your windshield will get smashed.

Well Babylonian, that shows nothing so much as your poor understanding of Liberals. You've been steeping in far too much rightwing propaganda. We don't need any lessons in free speech or, for that matter, bravery from the fear-mongering spinmeisters on the other side of the aisle.
Glad you stopped by.
Cheers.

Perhaps I do have a poor understanding of Liberals, enlighten me. Propaganda? I only make my judgements from frequenting liblogs.ca. Free speech? I never once mentioned that, and people never needed free speech to be cowards and not talk about "rock the boat" issues.

I am simply admiring the fact that you bring this story up, and its rare to see this thing from liblogs.

Sorry if I misjudged you and, I suppose, thanks for your kind words.

My gawd MOS......you are soooooo testy at times. Appreciate the fact that people take the time to make comments. There was not much wrong with what babylonian said. Babylonian agreed with most of what you wrote about...gees understand what people say.....and you a former Judge.

I am chastened, anon. I wasn't a judge in my past life, just a litigation lawyer/snoop. Maybe that's how I became a tad abrasive. Thanks for the advice.
