Will Our Grandkids Be Smarter, Smart Enough to Fix Everything We've Broken?

It's called the Flynn Effect.  Put simply, we're getting smarter at the rate of .3 IQ points every year.  That's 3 IQ points every decade and it's happening everywhere, not just in the advanced, advantaged nations.

Perhaps our civilization's best hope is that our grandkids will be smart enough by the time they take the reins of power to fix everything we've broken.  Let's hope.

The TED Talk is optimistic until the end when he mentions how we are getting dumber at politics and why.

Yes, Toby, and it was a powerful warning of the society we're manufacturing today, the dumbed down civilization.
